Needed
We are
working hard at preparing the youth room as a gathering place for our
youth of all ages. There are a few items that we are looking for
in donations:
*Lamps
*Clocks (2)
*Blankets or quilts
*TV (1)
*DVD player and/or video player
*Variety of baskets (for our
shelves)
*Game tables (foosball or ping
pong)
*Throw rugs
*Variety of cork boards
(to be used for picture displays)
The Friendship Room
Grace Lutheran Youth Group
recently participated in an event "F2FF" (Four to Four Fast) that
provided an opportunity to raise personal awareness on Hunger within our
local community. During a 24 hour period of fasting, they began the
event by working at the St. Bernard Friendship Room (organizing the
freezers) and concluded the event by conducting a bottle drive -- and
splitting the proceeds ($108.70) between The Friendship Room and Trinity
Episcopal Sunday Supper Pantry. The youth also assisted with the
restocking of shelves at Trinity Episcopal's Food Pantry during the
recent Alpena Postal Food Drive.
